국문 초록

본 연구는 놀이 중심의 사회성 향상 프로그램이 저소득 모자가정 아동의 또래관계에 미치는 효과를 알아보는데 목적을 두고 실시되었다. 연구대상은 대구광역시 ○○구내에 있는 ○○모자원에 거주하는 모자가정의 초등학교 저학년 아동으로 교사로부터 또래관계에 문제가 있다고 의뢰된 아동 18명 중 교사용 사회적 기술 검사를 실시하여 사회적 기술 점수가 하위 33%에 해당하는 6명의 아동을 선정하고, 연구집단과 비교집단에 각각 3명씩 배정하였다. 프로그램은 자신을 긍정적으로 인식하고, 다른 사람과 관계를 맺을 때 필요한 사회성 기술을 훈련시키는데 중점을 두고 놀이의 치료적 요인을 활용하여 학령기 모자가정 아동의 특성에 맞도록 구성하였다. 저소득 모자가정 아동의 또래관계 변화는 사전․사후․추후에 자기보고식과 교사보고식 또래관계 검사에서 측정된 점수로 비교하였고, 아동의 또래관계 행동 변화는 회기 진행 과정에서 자유놀이 상황을 녹화하여 놀이행동 관찰 기록지를 사용해 또래 상호작용을 관찰하고 기록하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 놀이 중심의 사회성 향상 프로그램은 저소득 모자가정 아동의 또래관계를 향상시킨다. 둘째, 놀이 중심의 사회성 향상 프로그램은 저소득 모자가정 아동의 또래관계 행동을 증진시킨다. 따라서 본 연구는 소수사례를 대상으로 실시하여 일반화하는데 제한점이 있으나, 놀이 중심의 사회성 향상 프로그램이 저소득 모자가정 아동의 또래관계를 향상시키는데 효과적이었음을 알 수 있었다.

영문 초록

This study aimed at examining the effects of a play-based sociability enhancement program on the peer relationships of children from low income female-headed families. The subjects of this study were composed of first through third year elementary school students from female-headed families living in ○○ female-headed family shelter in ○○-gu, Daegu metropolitan city. Out of 18 students who, the teacher said, had trouble building and maintaining peer relationships, 6 students whose teacher-rated social skill scores were within the lowest 33% were selected as the subjects. They were divided into an experimental group and a control group, each containing 3 students. The program focused on leading children to perceive themselves positively and to develop social skills they needed when building relationships with others. Besides, utilizing the therapeutic factors of play, the program was composed to reflect the features of the elementary school students of female-headed families. Changes in the peer relationships of children from low income female-headed families were examined through the comparison of self-rated peer relationship scores and teacher-rated peer relationship scores gained from tests taken before and after the program and a follow-up test. The results of this study were as follows: First, the play-based sociability enhancement program improves the peer relationships of children from low income female-headed families. Second, the play-based enhancement training program improves the peer relationship behaviors of children from low income female-headed families. In conclusion, as this study involved only a few students, it is not appropriate to generalize the results of this study. This study, however, found that the play-based sociability enhancement program is effective in improving the peer relationship of children from low income female-headed families.
