국문 초록

본 논문은 히브리 성경, 신약성경, 그리고 꾸란에 나타나는 성스러운 지리(sacred geography)의 문학적·서사적 구성을 비교 문학적 담론 분석의 관점에서 고찰한다. 기존의 성지 연구가 주로 정치적·신학적 관점에 집중해온 것과 달리, 본 연구는 서사 구조, 은유, 상징, 공간 이미지, 그리고 언약, 유배, 순례, 귀환에 대한 시적 재현을 통해 성스러운 공간이 어떻게 상상적으로 구성되는지를 분석한다. 또한 Gaston Bachelard, Michel Foucault, Edward Said 의 이론을 바탕으로, 성스러운 공간이 종교 공동체의 정체성, 기억, 그리고 소속감을 형성하는 문학적·상징적 공간으로 기능하는 방식을 탐구한다. 본 연구는 세 경전에 대한 근접 읽기와 비교 텍스트 분석을 통해, 아브라함계 경전에 나타난 성지가 단순한 물리적 영토가 아니라 성스러운 서사와 문학적 재현을 통해 지속적으로 재구성되는 상상적·서사적 구조임을 밝히고자 한다.

영문 초록

This paper examines the literary and narrative construction of sacred geography in the Hebrew Bible, the New Testament, and the Qur’an through a comparative literary-discursive approach. Moving beyond primarily political and theological readings of the Holy Land, the study focuses on how sacred space is imaginatively produced through narrative structure, metaphor, symbolism, spatial imagery, and poetic representations of covenant, exile, pilgrimage, and return. Drawing on the theories of Gaston Bachelard, Michel Foucault, and Edward Said, the paper explores how sacred landscapes function as literary and symbolic spaces through which religious communities shape identity, memory, and belonging. Through close reading and comparative textual analysis, the study argues that the Holy Land in Abrahamic texts operates not merely as physical territory, but as a narrative and imaginative structure continually recreated through sacred storytelling and literary representation.
