국문 초록

본 연구는 벤처기업의 내부역량이 성장전망으로 전환되는 구조적 메커니즘을 규명하고, 이 과정에서 경쟁전략의 매개효과와 외부 요인의 조건부 역할을 실증적으로 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 「2024년 벤처기업정밀실태조사」 마이크로데이터를 활용하여, 내부역량이 원가우위 전략과 고부가가치화 전략을 매개로 성장전망에 영향을 미치는 구조모형을 설정하였다. 또한 벤처캐피탈의 관여 정도와 외부협력의 효과성을 조절 변수로 포함하여, 전략 형성 단계와 전략–성과 전환 단계에서의 조절효과를 검증하고, 나아가 조절된 매개효과를 추가적으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 내부역량은 성장전망에 직접적인 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 동시에 경쟁전략을 통해 간접적으로도 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 고부가가치화 전략의 매개효과가 상대적으로 강하게 확인되었다. 또한 VC관여도는 내부역량과 경쟁전략 간의 관계를 강화하는 조절효과와 함께, 경쟁전략을 통한 간접효과를 증폭시키는 조절된 매개효과를 보였다. 반면 협력효과성은 고부가가치화 전략을 중심으로 선택적인 조절효과 및 조절된 매개효과를 나타냈다. 이러한 결과는 벤처기업의 성장전망이 내부역량의 축적만으로 결정되기보다, 경쟁전략의 선택과 외부 요인의 조건부 작용을 통해 형성된다는 점을 시사한다. 본 연구는 벤처기업 성장 메커니즘에 대한 이론적 이해를 확장하는 동시에, 벤처투자 및 창업지원 정책의 정교화를 위한 실증적 시사점을 제공한다.

영문 초록

This study investigates how internal capabilities translate into growth prospects in venture firms, emphasizing the mediating role of competitive strategies and the moderating influence of external factors. Using microdata from the 2024 Venture Firm Survey, a structural model is developed in which internal capabilities affect growth prospects through cost leadership and value-added differentiation strategies. Venture capital (VC) involvement and collaboration effectiveness are incorporated as moderators, and moderated mediation effects are examined. The results indicate that internal capabilities significantly enhance growth prospects both directly and indirectly via competitive strategies, with differentiation strategies showing a stronger mediating effect than cost leadership. VC involvement strengthens the relationships between capabilities and strategies and amplifies indirect effects, confirming significant moderated mediation. Collaboration effectiveness demonstrates selective moderating effects, primarily along the differentiation pathway. These findings underscore the combined roles of internal capabilities, strategic positioning, and external conditions in shaping venture firm growth and offer implications for venture investment and entrepreneurship policy.
