국문 초록

본 연구는 대학을 하나의 경영 주제로 보고, 인적·물적·재정적 자원의 투입(input)이 교육성과(output)에 미치는 연관성을 실증적으로 분석하였다. 한국교육학술정보원(KERIS)의 2024년 ‘대학주요정보’ 데이터를 활용하여 국내 4년제 일반대학의 교육성과와 관련 요인을 대학경영 관점에서 실증 분석하였다. 신입생 충원율과 취업률을 종속변수로, 학생·교원·환경 관련 지표를 독립변수로 설정하여 다중회귀분석을 수행하고, 대학 특성(규모, 설립, 유형, 지역)에 따른 성과 차이를 ANOVA로 분석했다. 분석 결과, 신입생 충원율에는 학생 1인당 연간 장학금이 긍정적 연관성을, 외국인 학생 수와 전임교원 1인당 학생 수 등은 부정적 연관성을 보였다. 반면 취업률에 긍정적 연관성을 보이는 유의미한 변수는 없었으며, 입학정원과 학생1인당 도서 자료수는 부정적 연관성을 보였다. 대학 규모와 지역은 신입생 충원율에 유의미한 차이를 보였으나, 취업률에는 유의미한 차이가 없었다.

영문 초록

This study, adopting a university management perspective, empirically analyzed how various input factors— including human, financial, and physical resources—are associated with educational outcomes (freshman enrollment rate and employment rate) at four-year general universities in Korea, using the 2024 ‘Key University Information’ data from KERIS. A multiple regression analysis was conducted with freshman enrollment and employment rates as dependent variables, and various student, faculty, and environmental factors as independent variables. As a result of the analysis, annual scholarships per student had a positive effect on the freshman enrollment rate, while the number of foreign students and the number of students per full-time faculty member had negative effects. For the employment rate, no variables were found to have a statistically significant positive effect; however, the admission quota and the number of library resources per student showed a negative effect. Comparative analysis revealed that university size and region had a significant effect on the freshman enrollment rate, but not on the employment rate. The findings provide empirical evidence for evidence-based resource allocation strategies from a university management perspective
