국문 초록

본 연구는 가족돌봄자의 돌봄부담이 신체적·정신적 건강에 미치는 영향을 분석하고, 이 관계에서 긍정적 돌봄경험의 조절효과를 검증함으로써 가족돌봄자 지원방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 연구대상은 장기요양등급을 받은 노인을 돌보는 가족 주돌봄자 404명이며, 구조화된 설문조사를 통해 수집된 자료를 SPSS와 PROCESS Macro를 활용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과, 돌봄부담은 가족돌봄자의 건강에 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 긍정적 돌봄경험은 돌봄부담과 건강 간의 관계에서 유의한 조절효과를 발휘하여 부정적 영향을 완화하였다. 이는 가족돌봄자가 돌봄을 의미 있게 재해석하고 긍정적 측면을 인식할 때 건강 결과가 개선될 수 있음을 시사한다. 본 연구는 가족돌봄자의 부정적 결과에 주로 초점을 맞추던 기존 연구를 확장하여, 긍정적 돌봄경험의 중요성을 실증적으로 제시하였다는 점에서 의의를 가진다. 또한, 가족돌봄자의 건강 증진과 돌봄부담 완화를 위하여 긍정적 재평가를 촉진하는 교육·중재 프로그램 개발, 통합적 지원체계 구축, 사회적 인식 제고 등을 포함한 실천적·정책적 함의를 제안하였다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to analyze the effect of caregiver burden on the physical and mental health of family caregivers, and to verify the moderating effect of Positive Aspects of Caregiving(PAC) in this relationship, in order to explore support strategies for family caregivers. The study participants were 404 primary family caregivers caring for older adults who were classified as requiring long-term care, and data were collected through structured surveys and analyzed using SPSS and PROCESS Macro. The results showed that caregiver burden had a negative impact on caregiver health, while PAC exerted a significant moderating effect on the relationship between burden and health, alleviating the negative impact. This suggests that when family caregivers reinterpret their caregiving role meaningfully and recognize its positive aspects, their health outcomes may improve. This study extends previous research, which focused primarily on the negative outcomes for family caregivers, by empirically demonstrating the importance of PAC. Furthermore, practical and policy implications are proposed, including the development of educational and intervention programs that promote positive reappraisal, the establishment of integrated support systems, and increased social awareness to improve the health of family caregivers and reduce their burden.
