국문 초록

송담·송원리유적은 장기 점유된 가락동유형의 최대 규모급 취락으로, 해당 유형의 특징과 변화상은 물론 동시기 혹은 후속 시기 다른 청동기시대 유형과의 관계를 살펴보는 데에 중요한 자료를 제공한다. 이와 같은 중요성으로 인해 지금까지 다양한 분석이 이루어졌지만, 석기에 대해서는 구체적인 연구가 진행된 바 없다. 보고서에서의 언급도 지나치게 간단한 편인데, 석기의 기종이나 세부 형식이 잘못 분류된 사례가 많고 암질 동정과 같은 기본 정보조차 제시되지 않았다. 본고에서는 먼저 이에 대한 수정과 보완을 통해 기초 자료의 정확성을 높이고자 하였으며, 이러한 자료를 바탕으로 석기의 출토 양상과 기종별 특징 검토, 조성비 비교 등을 시도하였다. 그 결과 취락 내에서 비교적 빈번하게 이루어진 석기 제작과 보다 종합적인석기 생산 취락으로서의 성격, 유구별 석검 보유량과 석기 출토량의 관련성, 청동기시대 전기의 이른 시기부터 취락이 점유되지 않았을 가능성과 중기 직전 혹은 일부 중기 병행 단계까지의 존속, 특정 시기에 다른 집단과의 비약적 교류 증가와 취락 소멸 시점까지의 지속, 다른 유적에 비해 활발하게 이루어진 화전 농경, 송담리와 송원리 취락의 생계 방식 차이, 단계별 생계 방식의 변화와 그 의미 등을 확인할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The Songdam-ri and Songwon-ri sites represents the largest settlement of the Garakdong assemblage, characterised by long-term occupation. It provides crucial data for examining the features and evolution of this assemblage, as well as its relationship with other Bronze Age assemblages from the same or subsequent periods. Given this significance, various analyses have been conducted to date, but no specific research has been carried out on the stone tools. This paper first sought to enhance the accuracy of the basic data through revisions and additions to examine the patterns of stone tool finds, review the characteristics of each tool type, and compare their compositions. As a result, 1) the relatively frequent and comprehensive stone tool production within the settlement, 2) the correlation between the quantity of stone daggers and the quantity of stone tools per archaeological features, 3) the possibility that the settlement was unoccupied from the very early stages of the Early Bronze Age, 4) its persistence until just before the Middle Bronze Age or into some concurrent phases, 5) the sustained existence until the settlement's demise despite a marked increase in interaction with other groups during a specific period, 6) the more active practice of slashand-burn agriculture compared to other sites, 7) the differences in subsistence patterns between the Songdam-ri and Songwon-ri settlements, 8) and the changes in subsistence patterns across different phases and their significance were revealed.
