영문 초록

This study focused on Chanyounghoe that is constituted of the major daily newspapers' journalist who were film mania. This clup started operation in December 1927, stopped to act in January 1930. The memmbers were Lee Iksang(DongA Ilbo) who were a KAPF writer also, Lee Seogu(Maeil Shinbo) who were a writer also, Ahn Seokjoo(Chosen Ilbo) who were a KAPF illustrator also, Kim Kijin who were a leader of KAPF and Choi Dokgyun who were a famous popular writer etc.. The main activity of Chanyounghoe was to strike out screenings of foreign important films. They also held a mock shooting by Rha Ungyu who was a best director in that time and a one-act play by stars and exhibition of dancing by a famous dancer Choi Suenghee who had come from Japan with their screengs. The activities of this culb were very exiting and fresh at that time, the programs of screening was good and useful to korean movie manias. They also tried to set up studio for film making but it failed. However the members of this club established a movie import company named Dongyang Film company and made a film that was ' Sorrowful Song in the Buddhist Monastery (Seungbangbigog)'(Dr. Lee Guyoung, 1930). The activity of Chanyounghoe has been recorded as 'Scandal of Chanyounghoe' that was accident between Chosen cineastes and members of Chanyounghoe. The members often asked a treat to cineastes for box-office as using their rank and sometimes criticised the private life of actress. So after this accident this club declared to disperse on their newspaper by demanding of Chosen cineastes. However we can get the 2 important points to understand the society of Chosen cineastes from the activities and scandal of Chanyounghoe. One is that Chanyounghoe was a kind of new wave in the chosen movie world that seeked the more modernized method to develop Chosen movie. The other is that there were 3 power groups in Chosen movie world ; the orthodox cineaste group, KAPF film movement group and Chanyounghoe group. So ‘Chanfyounghoe scandal’ was just a scandal itself but also means struggle for hegemony between above 3 groups.
