Digital Storytelling and English Literature은 디지털 시대에 대학생들이 스토리텔링과 문학을 새롭게 이해하고 창의적으로 활용하도록 돕기 위해 기획되었다. 이 책은 세 개의 파트로 구성되어 있는데, 먼저 스토리의 본질과 그 힘을 탐구하고(Part I), 이어서 영어권 문학 작품을 읽고 분석하는 방법을 배우며(Part II), 마지막으로 배운 이론과 감상 경험을 바탕으로 나만의 이야기를 창작하고 디지털 플랫폼에서 표현하는 과정을 다룬다(Part III). 스토리, 플롯, 내러티브의 개념을 이해하고, 시, 소설, 희곡 등 다양한 장르별 특징에 맞춘 감상법을 제시하여 학습자들이 작품의 깊이를 보다 입체적으로 경험할 수 있도록 하였을 뿐만 아니라 디지털 환경에서 확장되는 스토리의 가능성, AI와 알고리즘 기반 스토리텔링, 팬덤 문화 등 최신 흐름을 반영해 학문적 탐구와 실습을 자연스럽게 연결한다. 이 책을 통해 독자는 영어 독해 능력 향상뿐 아니라 비판적 사고력, 디지털 리터러시, 창의적 표현력을 함께 기를 수 있을 것이다.

인물정보

저자(글) 최성우

배화여자대학교 글로벌커뮤니케이션과 영어전공 교수. 연세대학교 국어국문학과 졸업 후 필리핀국립대학교와 하와이대학교에서 비교문학과 영문학으로 석사학위를 받고 연세대학교에서 현대영문학 수사학 전공으로 박사학위를 받았다. 영문학, 비교문학, 수사학, 번역학에 관한 학술 논문과 서적을 영어와 한국어로 발표하고 있으며 문학작품 번역뿐 아니라 창작 작품도 출간하고 있다.
